When Planet Hearts launched in March 2006 it was with a mission statement that remains true even today:
PLANET HEARTS A football club is about more than just the players and officials. It's about the fans too. Ordinary people, from all walks of life, affected by the highs and the lows, its triumphs and defeats. It's about those who are always there, in the good times and the bad. And those who drift away, only to come back into the fold. It's about community. Family. The Hearts family, and everything it represents.
Which is why Planet Hearts is not just another run-of-the-mill football fanzine, not just another glossy soccer magazine. It is a world first. The first proper newspaper written and produced for the fans, by the fans. Something which goes beyond the norm, beyond simply events on the pitch.
